Alnus glutinosa – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Little did i know how versatile this tree was that we planted at Terra Alta in our food forest course in 2012. The common alder of Europe provides so much including insect larvae habitat which i saw the other day as they were happily munching along. We were talking needing dye plant for our new dome and voila here is one from the bark. and i find this last one very interesting, growing next to water the seeds are very strong against pathogenic bacteria. nice design nature. multifunctional the permaculture way.
